The venue’s own standard ticket costs EUR 26 for an adult (official venue base prices). Partner entry products may cost more and can differ in what they include, so treat that figure as a reference point, not the price you will see at checkout. How official and partner prices differ.
How timed entry works
Every ticket has a date and an entry time. You are expected to arrive for that slot; late arrival can mean you are refused entry, and the venue does not promise a grace period. Once inside, the official guidance suggests a visit of around 60 minutes, though there is no strict stopwatch on how long you look up at the ceiling.
Tickets are personal and named. Bring official photo ID, plus proof of eligibility if you booked a reduced rate. Everyone passes through a security check before entry, so leave suitcases at your hotel — there are no general luggage lockers.
Is standard entry right for you?
Why it works
- Lowest-priced way to see the interior
- Explore at your own pace and linger where you like
- Official audio guide gives structure without a group
- Easy to fit around other plans
Watch out for
- No live person to answer questions
- No tower views
- Relies on your phone battery and headphones
- Easy to miss symbolism on the façades without guidance
Best for
- Visitors who prefer reading and listening to following a group.
- Families with children under 6 (who cannot go up the towers anyway).
- Visitors with reduced mobility — the basilica is accessible, the towers are not. See accessible visits.
Consider an alternative if…
- You want stories and context explained live — compare guided tours.
- You want the view from above — a tower ticket includes entry plus one tower.

On the day: a quick routine
- Charge your phone and download the official audio guide before you leave, if your ticket includes it.
- Bring photo ID and your ticket (on your phone or printed, as the seller instructs).
- Head to Carrer de Mallorca, 401 and follow signs for your entrance; allow time for security.
- Inside, take your time in the nave, then visit the museum at your own pace.
Frequently asked questions
What does a standard Sagrada Família entry ticket include?
Timed admission to the basilica interior and the museum, plus the official audio guide app. It does not include tower access or a live guide.
How long does a self-guided visit take?
The venue indicates an approximate visit of about 60 minutes. Many visitors stay longer; the standard audio guide track alone is about 45 minutes.
Can I upgrade to a tower on the day?
Do not count on it. Tower places are limited and sold as separate ticket types. If you want a tower, book a ticket that includes one.
Can I change the date or time of my entry ticket?
That depends on the seller’s conditions. Tickets bought through a partner follow the partner’s change and cancellation policy, which is shown before you pay and on your confirmation.
