What a tower ticket includes
Tower tickets include everything in standard entry — the basilica and the audio guide — plus a timed visit to one tower. The venue’s own versions cost EUR 36 with the app audio guide or EUR 40 with an official guided tour (official venue base prices). Partner tower products are priced separately and shown at checkout.

Who should — and shouldn’t — go up
For visitors who want views, a tower ticket is better than standard entry, provided everyone is eligible and comfortable walking down narrow stairs. The descent is the part to think about: the stairways are tight and there are many steps. Some health and mobility restrictions apply, and visitors who dislike confined spaces may find it uncomfortable. For visitors with mobility constraints, standard basilica access is the more suitable choice.
Why it works
- Views over Barcelona and close-up details of the towers
- Includes everything in standard entry
- Available with app audio or a live guide
Watch out for
- One tower only
- Long, narrow stair descent
- No under-6s; not wheelchair accessible
- Weather or operational closures possible
Nativity or Passion?
The two towers sit on opposite façades of the basilica, so the views and surrounding sculpture differ. Neither is universally “better”; your choice often comes down to availability for your date. We cover the differences in our Nativity vs Passion tower guide. Make sure the tower you want is named on your booking — never assume both are included.

Frequently asked questions
Can I visit both towers with one ticket?
No. A tower ticket includes one tower — Nativity or Passion. If you want both, you would need to check whether a separate booking is available.
Is there a lift down from the towers?
You go up by lift and come down on foot via narrow spiral stairs. Plan for this if you have mobility, balance or claustrophobia concerns.
What is the minimum age for the towers?
Children under 6 cannot go up the towers. Children aged 6 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
What if the tower is closed due to weather?
Towers can close for weather or operational reasons. What happens next — a refund, a change or no compensation — depends on the seller’s terms, so read them before booking.
Can I take a bag up the tower?
Tower visitors may have to leave small bags in temporary storage. There are no general luggage lockers, so do not bring suitcases.
